Ashley DeFlanders
Ashley DeFlanders is the Program Coordinator and Researcher at Our Village United, a nonprofit organization that supports the growth of Black solopreneurs and microbusinesses by delivering targeted technical assistance and shared professional services that assist in their ability to grow and scale. As a former educator and trained attorney, Ashley firmly believes that with the proper knowledge and skills, Black entrepreneurs can start to close the wealth gap and continue on the path of upward economic mobility. Ashley is currently coordinating ELEVATED Cities, ELEVATE Mississippi, and ELEVATE Alumni, which combined service over 450 black owned businesses.
A Pascagoula, Mississippi native, Ashley is a graduate of Tougaloo College and Tulane University Law School. She resides in Houston, TX with her husband and two children
